In May 2021, our story began in the most unexpected and beautiful way. Cherilynn had recently reconnected with an old high school friend after years apart. Her old friend was expecting a baby and was planning her gender reveal out where she lived in Tyler, Texas. Back then, her friend invited her to Texas for her gender reveal and even offered to fly her out! Life has a funny way of bringing people back together at just the right time. At the same time, Kile was doing what he has always done best — showing up for the people he loves. His childhood best friend (and the father of the baby being celebrated) was preparing for one of the biggest moments of his life, and Kile made the drive from Oklahoma to Texas to be there for him. Before the big reveal, the two friends made a quick trip to Missouri to pick up one very important detail: fireworks! Because what’s a celebration without them? While Kile was staying at his friend’s home, Cherilynn and her friend returned from their quick 7-11 run, and when Cherilynn walked through the front door, something shifted. It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t orchestrated. It was simply one of those quiet, unmistakable moments where two paths cross at exactly the right time. What started as a weekend trip for a gender reveal became the beginning of a love story neither of us expected, but one we are endlessly thankful for. From shared conversations to shared dreams, from building a life together to blending our families, every step since that day has led us here. Now, as we prepare to say “I do,” we are so grateful for the people and moments that led us to each other, and for all of you who will stand beside us as we begin this next chapter.
