CHERIES' VERSION of the story: We were at a Catholic Young Adult Praise and Worship event at a beautiful Church in Orange County called Christ Cathedral. We came in separately with different companions and DID NOT know of each other's existence. YET. As the speaker closed the night, he encouraged the attendees to try to meet new people and not just mingle with our own circle. Pretty much everyone already left the room, including my companion, but I was left inside as I saw a friend that I haven't seen in a while and as women, we naturally got caught up talking. When we exited the room, I just saw this hand in a handshake position, and heard a deep monotone voice saying: "Hello, can I meet you?" *say it with Ray's voice in your head if you can😆* Of course I laughed and was like "You said what?" And Ray explained, "Well, the speaker said, try to meet at least one new person, so that's why I said 'Can I meet you?' " Aaand things did not develop into love and relationship right away after that, but here we are now. Praise God 🙏😇
