What is Hawkesdene?

Hawkesdene is a 70-acre private estate tucked into the mountains of Western North Carolina. It is an all-inclusive wedding venue! Meaning, all guests stay on property in their assigned rooms arranged by us ahead of time. More information to be found at their website. https://hawkesdene.com/

So what am I paying for?
Answer
It is $430 per person to attend our wedding. You’re paying for lodging for a 4 day, 3 night stay as well as all food and drink for the entirety of your 4 day stay. Please follow the instructions on the back of your invitation as to how to reserve your spot. That being said, we would never want this to be a financial burden or a reason you could not come to celebrate with us! If you were invited we REALLY want you there. Please call/text us and we will work something out :)

How do I secure my spot?

Step 1: RSVP on our wedding website under the RSVP tab. Step 2: Visit this URL: https://hawkesdene.com/guest-payments/ Follow the prompts and when directed select the wedding of Cherie + Huston on May 9, 2026 from the dropdown list. Again, it is $430 per person to attend our wedding. For example, for you and your spouse you would submit a payment of $860 total.

Do I get to choose where I stay at the estate?
Answer
No. Huston and I are assigning rooms and you will receive your assignment on arrival. The accommodations are nice. We are doing our best to place all friends and families together. Please be flexible. There are no “bad” accommodations at our venue. If you want to review lodging examples prior to arrival, they are listed with pictures on the venue website.

Can my kid come to your wedding?
Answer
Depends! Again, if you were invited we REALLY want you there. We wouldn’t want you not to come just because you can’t bring your child. Please call/text us and we will figure something out :)

Will there be a pickleball tournament on Friday?
Answer
Yes - we’re working on logistics.

Am I required to stay on site at Hawkesdene?
Answer
Yes. We ask that you stay on property to foster an environment of community throughout the entirety of the wedding weekend.

If I arrive late, do I get a discount?
Answer
No. Rates are not prorated.

What should I wear?
Answer
Please see the schedule tab for the recommended attire to the more formal events of the weekend. Otherwise, think about what you would pack for camp in the mountains of NC in springtime. Both full days will be packed with generally more (semi) athletic activities if you so choose including hiking, walking, pickleball, and lawn games. Attire during the days is whatever you want. We will likely be wearing workout attire with tennis shoes. Generally, it is warm during the days and cool at night. Average temperatures are 70s in the daytime and 50s/60s during the evenings.
