Let’s Play Ball

We met after one of my country ball softball games in Sumter, SC (Expos field). I’m assuming “Pokey” had been asking/talking about me after the game because upon me exiting the stadium one of “his” friends approached me (one whom thought they knew me but really didn’t... Ex. A kid- yes, I have one 😂) stating the following (remember this day like it was yesterday)- “ My friend “Pokey” would like to meet you... of course my face is frowned as I reply who the heck is that.... The friend: You know he played MLB, SS and 2nd. Me: No clue, but is he 16... why isn’t he talking for himself 😡. Friend: I told him I would introduce the two of you...Me: but you don’t even know me, only thing you know is I play country ball, coach/teach, and I’m called “Jeter” . Friend: Well I will send him over here 😏 Let’s speed this thing up.... Our convo lasted for about two hours in the parking lot.... of course I’m talking junk about him being scared to approach me 😂. One word of advice of word for those seeking their soul mate..... “good things come to those that wait/patience is a virtue “ (I say that because according to him he had been watching me since days at “White Valley” and in a relationship). We exchanged numbers and left in our separate cars; however, I phoned my father (sports guy) inquiring about this “Pokey” guy and he sure as heck knew who he was... of course he added when he coached at FCHS they use to whip up on him and LR 😂. After many ups and downs in both of our lives we are still together and ready to embark on our “Forever”! Our Field Of Dreams ⚾️❤️⚾️....... TeamReese18
