When is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP and pay room deposit no later than July 30, 2024, so we can have an accurate headcount. :)

I am coming from out of town. Where should I stay?

Answer

We have made the following hotel accommodations at (Paradisus Playa del Carmen and Paradisus La Perla) all inclusive resort. To ensure you are a part of Cherese & Donald's Wedding Group and attend all group events, book with our secured group rates. Third-party or direct bookings won't be included in the wedding group. Rates are valid for a minimum of 3 nights. Inventory subject to availability and will be confirmed via email. Rooms can be booked from July 17th - July 24th (2025) Private round trip group transportation to and from the airport will be added to your reservation for $90 per person, with a minimum of 2 passengers.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to venue capacity for the ceremony and reception, we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation only! However, this is your vacation too and if you'd like to bring your friends or family to join you during the rest of your trip, please do!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, only a select group of family members with children under the age of 18 are allowed to attend the ceremony and reception. However, we recognize that some of you maybe traveling with your children, so please know they are welcome at the Friday welcome event. Please reach out if you have questions!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Welcome to Playa del Carmen Mexico!!!! In the month of July daily high temperatures can typically reach around 90°F, rarely falling below 85°F or exceeding 93°F. Daily low temperatures are around 72°F, rarely falling below 68°F or exceeding 76°F.

Where should I park?

There will be no parking available at the wedding and reception venue (Villa La Joya).

Is there transportation being provided between ceremony/reception and hotel?

Answer

Due to venue limitations on parking and to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience from the Paradisus resort to the wedding venue, the bride and groom have arranged transportation for all guests.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the wedding and reception venue (Villa La Joya) is wheelchair accessible.

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for the wedding is resort formal and/or cocktail attire. If possible, we would be honored if you would join us in wearing a color from our palette. You may also choose to combine them as you please. (Color palette can be found under the dress attire section) Please, no jeans, shorts, T-shirts, flip flops or anything in shades of white. We asking our guest to wear cocktail attire or resort formal. COCKTAIL: Women: (tea-length, knee-length, or midi dress) Men: suit and tie RESORT-FORMAL: Women: (below the knee dress, a dressy skirt, and a top, or a pantsuit) Men: (dress shirt and slacks. optional tie)

What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Answer

Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony and reception will be outdoors at Villa La Joya.

Can I take photos during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Screens down, hearts up! We are asking everyone to be fully present with us during the ceremony. Please silence your cellphones and put them away. However cellphones are welcome during cocktail hour and the reception.

Is there WIFI at the venue?

Answer

Yes WIFI is available. However, connectivity could be slow depending upon the number of guest logged into the network.
