We are so excited to celebrate with YOU!

The summer of their junior year of college, Chereith landed a job at the Albany Country Club, where Christopher had been spending his summers for a few years. Their first night meeting, they worked a wedding, and Christopher was partnered up with Chereith. To say it was love at first sight, we will never know for sure, but at least we can say they learned what they loved about weddings and what they wanted to forever avoid - like hearing the song "Love Shack" by The B-52's. Even though they returned to their senior year of college not yet dating, but both Red Dragons, Chereith from SUNY Oneonta and Christopher from SUNY Cortland, Chereith made sure to take advantage of Cortica and Christopher of cold cheese pizza. It was the summer after they graduated and ended up back at the Country Club where they realized they would forever be more than friends.

Chereith and Christopher have been lucky enough to travel to some beautiful places together - whether it be out of the country or to somewhere nearby for a few days. During the dreary summer we all just had, Chereith was itching for some sun and sand, and Christopher listened. Christopher chose Newport, RI for a long weekend away because neither one of them had ever been before and it was someplace drivable, making the opportunity to return more enticing. After a sunrise sail, too many good eats to name, drinks around town, sightseeing along the coastline, and ten years of a beautiful life together, Christopher decided to get down on one knee and "make it official." Of course, Chereith said yes! It wasn't until a while later Chereith was finally able to stop crying so she could actually see the gorgeous ring that Christopher had made for her - with the help of his groomsman Eddie, and then with his father, who took the secret drive down to Long Island with Chris (along with a dozen homemade sandwiches made by the infamous Bootsie) to get the ring! The weekend was absolutely perfect and their hopes are that 8.12.2022 will be nothing shy of the same, knowing that their loving friends and family will be by their sides! Heck, they both know how long you all have been waiting to celebrate their relationship!
