We didn't know it then, but our story began way back in 8th. grade. We met in middle school and were best friends all through high school. We often comment (and laugh) that our high school selves never imagined this outcome of our friendship.
God has a sense of humor for sure!
This picture is from our high school's first sports banquet in April of 2009. Devin remembers asking Cherayah to the banquet, flowers in hand, then scurrying away before she could even give him an answer, because he was so nervous! As you can see...
she eventually was able to tell him yes!

August 24, 2019. Josh's surprise 30th birthday party, Star Trek themed. Devin built the captain's chair/picture booth for this!
October 5, 2019. Ouray, Colorado.
When Cherayah's aunt invited Devin to a family day trip and made them take a picture together (before people knew there was a "thing"; apparently, she knew haha!)
October 19, 2019, pt 1. Surprise birthday party for Devin at the pumpkin patch and a friend's house.
October 19, 2019, pt 2. Devin's present included a homemade halloween birthday card with a note letting him know Cherayah was ready for a "real date," which he had wanted to take her on for a while!

We enjoyed the music of an artist who previously starred as the Phantom in Broadway's Phantom of the Opera. Great company. Great show. Great evening!

This was such a fun night; the show was fantastic! Date nights like these are a Cherayah favorite.
December 29, 2019, 1st Christmas together.
Devin made Cherayah the rose from Beauty and the Beast. She made him a nutcracker. We both LOVED our special presents.

In September 2020, Cherayah showed Devin the terraces behind the museum. That’s when we decided we wanted part of our wedding day celebrated there!

December 14, 2020. Devin was completing his final fire academy active training. Family was allowed to observe. Cherayah set the car alarm off, and the instructor had to excuse Devin to turn it off!

February 14, 2021. Valentine’s Day dinner/paint night! We had Italian food and painted sugar skulls! Devin’s was a masterpiece. Cherayah stressed out and still has yet to finish her painting! Haha
