Flight

Tucson International Airport

If you can get a flight into TUS, you will not be disappointed. Despite the limited direct flights, the convenience of flying directly to Tucson is nothing to discount. It's a cute regional airport that's simple to navigate and you can get through quick going in and out. Generally, flights are more expensive flying into TUS rather than PHX, but considering the cost of a rental car and gas for the 2-way trip, it sometimes comes out to be a wash.

Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport

PHX is a 1.5-2 hour drive to and from Tucson, depending on final destination and traffic. Being a major hub, there are flights just about anywhere, but it is super busy and can be stressful when travelers are unfamiliar with it's layout.
