Jess ("Chestnut") and Cody ("Kenobi") met during Camp Kesem at MIT in college. After spending countless hours planning for camp together both as coordinators and eventually as directors, they became lifelong friends. They've leaned on each other during hard times, and will continue singing camp songs about Fred the Moose or Betsy the Heifer for years to come!

Sam and Aaron met during Aaron's freshman year of high school on the Cross Country Team and was Aaron's first friend from high school (other than Nicole and Chelsea Greene, of course!). Sam and Aaron ran cross country and track all through high school, worked at Market Basket together and kept in touch closely after high school becoming lifelong friends.
Daniel Chen

Jessica met Daniel about 25 years ago. Her first impression was that he was loud and annoying (hence the Chinese nickname that she gave him, "naughty", which has stuck since birth). And even though he's always known how to push her buttons, he's also brought the best out of her, sometimes teaching her more than she teaches him. And though they were always so different growing up and going about the same activities in their own ways, Jessica and Daniel always had each others' backs. Daniel has always been Jessica's biggest cheerleader so who better than him to stand by her on one of her biggest days?
Nicole Cingari

Nicole is the big sister to Aaron! Her energy and force has been a guiding force for Aaron while growing up and still is to this day. Her presence brings such love and peace wherever she goes. Nicole and Aaron had some back and forths growing up (a little finger in a door and maybe a scar to the knee from a brick), but the love they have for each other as brother and sister is so powerful. Aaron is overjoyed to have her by his side on one his most important days!

Jess met Roni in the spring of 2014, during Campus Preview Weekend for MIT, where she used all the typical Roni charm and convinced Jess to join the incredible community of MIT Swim & Dive. They've made so many memories both in and out of the pool, and will be cheering each other on for a lifetime.
Austin Greene

"Godbrothers" dubbed by Aaron, Aaron and Austin (son of Aaron's Godparents) grew up next to one another as neighbors playing various activities outside. Being the older of the two, Aaron impressed a great deal of interests into Austin such as Star Wars, Legos, running and gaming. Aaron and Austin would be briefly go to school together while going to high school and Worcester State.

When Jess found out Justine was matched as her big, she was immediately showered with hugs and screams of joy. Jess immediately fit into this crazy, laughter-filled family line, and every time these two got together, you could tell it was them from a mile away! And look, they're so much alike that they both even became surgeons!

Andrew and Aaron met during freshman year of high school where they bonded over joining track and field going on to co-captain their senior year. They kept in touch during and after college with our core high school group such as Friendsgiving.
Nanette Wu

Jess was Nanette's Campus Preview Weekend host, and they actually initially thought they hated each other! But surprise, once Nanette actually got to MIT, they realized just how goofy they were together and even bonded over their always present injuries. Even after swimming, a little less broken, they've continued to manage to roast each other (mostly in good fun)!
Alec St. Germain

Alec and Aaron met during freshman year of high school where Aaron was able to convince Alec to join the different running teams after much encouragement. After high school, the two traveled to Lowell together and attended UMass Lowell where they kept in touch of their busy college life with weekly trips to the dining halls. During this time, their interest for the outdoors and adventures lead them to found the Oxford Outdoors Club and go on many adventures together including Aaron joining Alec on his return from his cross country trip.
Julie Hemphill

Jess and Julie met during the 4th year of medical school during their Maternal Fetal Medicine (high risk obstetric) sub-internship at Brown OBGYN. They were an unstoppable team and were ecstatic when they found out they would continue to be teammates as Brown OBGYN residents! They've continued to confide in each other (and trauma bond together) in this crazy journey of residency, and can't wait to start their practices together (Julie doing the gynecology surgeries and Jess taking care of the prenatal visits--kidding but not kidding).
