For those looking for a serene and conveniently located escape to nature, Point Defiance Park offers lush forests, scenic waterfront views, and miles of hiking trails. You can find diverse attractions, including a zoo and aquarium, Japanese gardens, rose and dahlia gardens, and the historic Fort Nisqually, all within a 10-minute drive from downtown Tacoma.
Proctor Farmers' Market on Saturday
Visit the Proctor Farmers Market on Saturday morning from 9:00AM-2:00PM. Grab breakfast or lunch at one of the stalls or shop for local crafts. Visit The Pacific Northwest Store nearby for more locally-made specialties.
Point Ruston
You can shop, eat, drink, and walk along the waterfront at Point Ruston.

Chambers Bay is a beautiful golf course and park with a panoramic view of the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. You can hit the links, take on the 3-mile walking trail around the park, or stroll along the beach.
