Our story starts over 10 years ago around a kitchen island, where our moms met weekly for their rosary group. The rosary was sometimes said, but most of the time was spent gossiping about their kids. The prospect of the two of us dating was tossed around a few times; we met once in passing but our story picked up again in DC. Joe had graduated early and was trying to make friends. For over a year he was known to name drop Meg any time he met someone from Georgetown. Unbeknownst to Joe, Meg was quite popular. The name dropping continued until someone told Joe he shouldn’t go around pretending he knew Meg, but that she was pretty great and he might want to reach out. All it took was a Facebook post and we've been together ever since. After one European backpacking trip, two graduate degrees, 4 years of long distance, and countless trips to the Adirondacks, Joe popped the question. We celebrated with both their families, because truly this story wouldn’t have been possible without their love and support. _______
While COVID may have changed our plans, we were still so lucky to get married on our original date (and Joe's Birthday) with our immediate family! The only way the day could have been any more perfect would have been to have all of you there with us. We can't wait to celebrate one year of marriage with all of you this time around. While COVID restrictions continue to change we plan to keep updating below on the latest guidance and requirements. We appreciate your endless flexibility. Fingers crossed we will see you all on the dance floor come August 28th!
