Thomas and Chelsie met their freshman spring semester at a Phi Tau Party at the University of Louisville. Shortly after meeting there was a Phi Tau Valentine's Dinner that Thomas invited Chelsie to go to. At the time, Chelsie was not interested and tried to come up with every excuse in the book to not go. Chelsie ended up going and having a blast and this started the beginning of their story. They continued to talk through the years and dated for a while off and on. They were there for each other through all of life's ups and downs, no matter what their relationship status was. Fast forward to 2017 and they started hanging out again, but this time things were different. By June 2018, Chelsie moved in. 2019, Thomas and Chelsie added Scout, their cat, to their little family. 2020- well we all know how that went..but THEY GOT ENGAGED!

It was the week of Christmas and Thomas and Chelsie did not have any plans Christmas Eve so Chelsie decided she was just going to have her sister over to make cookies and hang out. The night before Chelsie's dad also had called and said he may stop by and just have a drink, but Chelsie thought nothing of it. Chelsie woke up that morning and Craig and Thomas had bought about 20 bottles of Prosecco. Chelsie was so confused, but the guys said that they had planned for a day of day drinking. Later on, Chelsie's dad came over along with her step-mom, and brother. Their neighbors Kyle and Carolyn ended up walking down as well. Thomas kept asking Chelsie all day if she was going to put makeup on, but she refused to since they were just hanging out at their own house. Thomas and Chelsie had a tradition of exchanging ornaments on Christmas Eve for a couple years and Thomas insisted they exchange in front of everyone. Chelsie thought that was so strange, but Thomas swore every one was going to think his was funny. He told Chelsie to turn around and handed her a small box with a bow. She took her time unwrapping it carefully to then drop the ornament out of the box. Little did she know he was down on one knee waiting patiently behind her. The ornament had a check list of 2020 things like being quarantined, washing your hands, etc. and at the bottom said WE GOT ENGAGED. She turned around and Thomas was there in front of every one proposing in front of the Christmas tree. Chelsie and Thomas are so excited for what is to come and can't wait to start this next chapter together!
