This is something everyone loves to do in the summer time! Just rent a tube and float the river with a beer in hand, good music, and great company! We plan to do this with our guests! P.S. You can take kids, but it not as relaxing.
The Natural Bridge Caverns are the largest commercial caverns in the US state of Texas. The name is derived from the 60-foot natural limestone slab bridge that spans the amphitheater setting of the cavern's entrance. The span was left suspended when a sinkhole collapsed below it. This is such a fun historical place to visit! Best for older kids and adults.
The Alamo is located in downtown San Antonio; therefore, you can kill two birds with one stone and the Alamo and many other monumental places in downtown. The Alamo is a historic Spanish mission, which is a fortress compound founded in the 18th century by Roman Catholic missionaries in what is now San Antonio, Texas, United States. It was also used in the Battle of San Jacinto in 1836 and has much of the damage it sustained for viewing!
San Fernando Cathedral was founded on March 9, 1731 by a group of 16 families who came from the Canary Islands at the invitation of King Phillip V of Spain and is the oldest, continuously functioning religious community in the State of Texas. This church was planned to be at the center of life in this city. This church is stunning and was one of our options for our ceremony!
