We highly encourage guests to stay in Avila Beach as all of the wedding festivities take place within walking distance of this small yet charming beach town. Avila Beach is about 15 minutes from downtown SLO.
A great place to check out stays include VRBO and Airbnb- especially for families and small/large groups. Make sure to search "Avila Beach" when looking for properties.
Because of San Luis Obispo's central location (pretty much half way between LA and San Francisco), there are multiple options on how to get to SLO.

San Luis Obispo (SBP) - 20 minute commute
Santa Barbara (SBA) - 1.5 hours south
Los Angeles (LAX) - 3.5 hours south
San Francisco (SFO) - 3.5 hours north
Oakland (OAK) - 3.5 hours north
From the airport, you can rent a car or take the Amtrak Train into SLO. Depending on budget and travel plans will help determine the best route.
