Question

Are there any special permits we need to enter Acadia National Park?

Answer

Yes. Passes are valid for 7 days and are $35 for a car and 4 people. Those can be bought at the park entrance.

What time should we be where on the 13th?

Answer

For our ceremony, we recommend getting to the parking lot by 6:30 am. Our parking lot is off of Park Loop Road in Acadia just northeast of Otter Point. Between Otter Cliff Road and Gorham Mountain Trailhead. Please refer to the map found in our "Things to Do" section. The Ceremony will start at 7:00 am and end at 7:15 am. Following the ceremony and photos, families can leave, rest, and recharge. The reception will start at 4:00 pm and go until roughly 9:00 pm at Sweet Pea's Farm located at 854 State Highway 3 Bar Harbor Maine 04609

Question

How far of a walk from the parking lot the wedding site?

Answer

The walk will be about 150-200 feet one way. The beach will be rocky.

Question

Can we take photos of the ceremony?

Answer

No. Our photographer will be taking care of the photos. We ask our families to turn their phones on silent and enjoy the moment. We also ask that Max goes and touches grass.

Question

What is the backup plan for bad weather?

Answer

We plan to have our ceremony outside in Acadia National Park regardless of the weather. If the weather is too dangerous we will work with our photographer to source and share an additional location.

Question

What food and drinks will be offered at the reception?

Answer

We will have a selection of various appetizers and shared plates, house greens, and wood-fired pizza. For drinks, we will have a selection of complimentary beer, wine, and a specialty cocktail up to $500 before turning into a cash bar.
