Their story began in college! Ernest was a student with a “C’s get degrees” mindset whilst Chelsey was an accounting prodigy. Ironically it was Ernest’s hardest class (Finance) that brought these two together. One day Ernest overheard Chelsey talking about finance during one of their classes together. He thought to himself this is the perfect situation beautiful girl and she knows finance, might as well ask her to study.

The two started spending time together and became good friends. What started as just study sessions lead to hangouts and phone calls lasting hours, it started to become very clear something special was happening! Although it’s constantly debated on who made the “first move” one things for certain this was the beginning to a beautiful love story. The two eventually started dating, moved in over a year after, and adopted a puppy named Winnie. ❤️

It was a normal Sunday afternoon when Ernest’s sister called to tell him her car broke down and she needed his help. I had plans to go to the mall with my friend so I couldn’t go with him. This worked out since it was all an elaborate plan to have me go to the place where we first met. As I was in the car with my friend she told me she needed to make a “pit stop” at the GMU bookstore before the mall. To my surprise when we got there all my closest friends and family were holding signs along a path leading me to him. As I was walked down the path I was joined by a flutist playing our favorite song and at the end of the path was Ernest down on one knee. No surprise that I said YES! So make a wish because we’re celebrating on 11/11! 💍🤍
