Back on the Fourth of July in 2020, Chelsey didn’t have any plans. It was mid-pandemic, her parents’ house was going to be unusually quiet, and she figured she’d just spend the day doing nothing in particular. But on July 2nd, out of nowhere, she got a text from an old high school friend, Jen Catuccio. “Hey, I have such a random question lol…” The “random question” ended up being an invite to a Fourth of July party at someone named Anthony Lucia’s house. Chelsey hadn’t seen Jen in years and had never even heard of Anthony, so she almost didn’t go. But something told her to just say yes, even if it was just for a little bit. When she showed up, the place was full of strangers. While watching Jen play cornhole, she overheard a group behind her talking about shotgunning beers. Chelsey turned to Jen and said she could probably beat them all. One of the guys overheard her; someone tall, handsome, and quick to call her bluff. His name was Dom. Naturally, a challenge was on. To Dom’s surprise, Chelsey did win while he came in a close second. He swore she only won because she was “closer to the ground,” but let’s just say the video evidence says otherwise. He asked for a rematch, and from that point on, the two of them were stuck like glue the rest of the night - laughing, hanging out, and talking until 3 a.m. The next morning, before she left, Dom asked if she was still down for that date they talked about the night before. She obviously said yes, and they never stopped hanging out after that. Four years later, Dom popped the question, and now they’re getting ready to throw the best party of their lives!
