The way we met was actually from an online dating app, Tinder. After almost giving up hope on ever finding someone who was right for us, our paths crossed. We decided to officially meet at one of our favorite watering holes in downtown Valparaiso, Franklin House. As soon as we started talking we hit it off and ended up staying there until last call which was 3 in the morning. We met for our second date the very next day and have been inseparable ever since.
We were invited to a Chicago Blackhawks game at the United Center with a few of our friends. We had a nice lunch at the beautiful Greek restaurant Athena before heading over to the game. As we were walking towards the entrance, Chris tried pulling me aside— key word, tried. I quickly questioned the reasoning of why Chris would pull us away from the group. Chris insisted his shoe laces were untied and he wanted to stop to fix them. I am not convinced, again I questioned him with, "Your boots don't even have laces?!" Chris knowing how difficult I can be to persuade, decided to just take a knee and present the ring, along with a sweet little speech that I'll keep to myself. I was so surprised and immediately said "I DO!" .. "I mean, YES!" That made us both laugh. People around us walking by were saying congratulations. It was perfect. After the little moment we had, we headed inside to meet our friends, share the news and celebrate.
