Although we adore your children, we kindly ask that our wedding remain an 18+ occasion.
We can't wait to see you all dressed up for our big day! We understand that it will be hot, so we suggest that you keep it light and comfortable. Think along the lines of flowy dresses, cocktail dresses, dress shirts, and slacks. We ask that you skip the shorts, jeans, and flip flops. Our ceremony is in the forest, so please wear appropriate footwear to ensure your safety on the journey there. Please avoid wearing any form of white, ivory, cream, champagne, etc., and greens and purples stay reserved for the bridal party. We would love for you to match our enchanted forest theme. The Black Barn is located in the rural outskirts. There are hotels and Airbnbs in the surrounding towns if you need a place to stay. While we will have bar staff to ensure your safety while drinking, we ask that you schedule a designated driver in advance.
We kindly ask that guests leave the photography to our professional team so everyone can be fully present and enjoy the moment with us. To help us keep the magic a surprise, we also ask that no photos be shared on social media until after we’ve had a chance to post first. We can’t wait to relive the day through our photographer’s lens, and we promise to share all the beautiful moments with you. You will be expected to leave it all on the dance floor! We are eager to spend an unforgettable night with you. We’ll be doing a Dollar Dance during the reception. It’s a fun tradition where guests can share a quick dance with the bride or groom in exchange for a small cash gift. If you'd like to join in, feel free to bring a few dollars (cash is best!). No pressure at all, just come ready to have fun and celebrate with us!
