Yes! Our venue is BYOB so we will be providing beer and wine and we’ll do our best to have enough to go around! However, this is basically a backyard party! So we would love for you to bring anything you specifically would like to drink. The alcohol must be poured by venue so when you arrive, give your alcohol to the bartender. If you don’t want to share, that’s totally fine! But please label your alcohol with your name before hand and let the bartender know.
Yes! We would love to see your kids at the wedding! But if you would like to leave the peanuts at home and have a parents night out, we love that for you too! Just be sure to RSVP for them or without them so we can account for them! We also want to warn you that we do not have a DJ for this wedding because we think DJs are kind of weird and corny. So we will be curating the playlist ourselves! We will do our best to play radio edits of most songs but we can’t guarantee that all of the music will be free of profanity. If language around your children bothers you, we totally understand! But in that case, we recommend you leave them at home.
We understand that a Friday evening wedding may not be the most convenient for those of you who are local and work a 9-5. But we’d still love to see your faces at our party! So if you don’t think you’ll make it in time for our ceremony but want to make it to the party, we are cool with that! We expect dinner to begin around 6:30pm. We just ask that you let us know beforehand if you cannot make the ceremony but will be able to make the party!
There is a full parking lot at this venue so you shouldn't have any trouble with parking!
We reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Hyatt nearby where you can reserve a room at a discounted rate! Take a look at the travel section of this website for more information on this hotel block!
No, but also, kind of yes. This is a backyard style wedding so we want you to look cute, but don’t overthink it! No ripped jeans but also no ballgowns and definitely no wedding dresses. Other than that, do you!
There are many answers to this one. The first being that Arizona is where we met. And how fitting for us to get married in the same state we met. But really, the biggest reason is that our families and many of our friends are centralized to the southwest and west coast so we thought it would just be easiest to get married in this region. The final reason is that weddings are criminally expensive and getting married in Phoenix is cheaper then getting married in Chicago. You understand.
We are asking that you do not bring any physical gifts larger than a card to the actual wedding. Transporting large gifts from Phoenix to Chicago is pretty difficult and pricey and we would love to not have to worry about those logistics. With that said, we have an online registry that you can find on this very website! So if you would like to buy us a physical gift, please please please, use this online tool to purchase the gift and have it sent to us in Chicago. It’s super easy for you to use and super easy for us as well! Thank you for understanding!
