Victoria always told Val, you have to get out there, she won't just walk through the door. And then, a cop walked into a gift shop. A bit of courage in a handwritten note and a text sent, taking a chance on a coffee date with a stranger, made for a perfect intro to our story. That intro quickly turned into multiple chapters full of adventures and connection. The time in which these chapters were written, may be short but they are so full of the stuff that matters. One, a collector of vintage typewriters that enjoys writing and typing notes. And the other, with an affinity for books and reading. A partnership that melded together making each person better and oh so happy. It seemed a perfectly clear (to one of them) that a proposal in a bookstore was the only option. (The other was unsuspecting and surprised as ever but in the happiest of ways.) Long version: One of our first dates was at a bookstore called Storyhouse Bookpub. Val bought a book called “She Gets the Girl” and jokingly asked if she bought the book if she would get the girl. Fast forward to February 26 (226 is Chels’ badge #!) Val hid the same book back on the shelf at the store and seriously surprised Chelsea by proposing with a ring hidden in the book! On October 26th, we are officially writing our next chapters together. We are thankful for all of the characters in our story and what each of you bring with. We wouldn't be the people we are today without all of you and we want you all celebrating with us as we continue forward.
