Our wedding will be in Cancun Mexico at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun Resort. Please double check for accuracy (linked on travel tab of this website) as there are multiple Hyatt Zivas. Your booking is not to be confused with Hyatt Ziva Riveria Maya, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, Hyatt Ziva/Zilara Cap Cana or Hyatt Zilara etc.
Hyatt Ziva is in the hotel zone, less than an hour from the airport depending on traffic. Please organize transportation PRIOR to arriving in Mexico. Uber is not really permitted within the airport for pickup. Taxis and drivers are throughout the arrival terminal however it is very chaotic. It’s a good idea to set up a roundtrip private transfer from "Travicons" on their website or use another service before getting off the plane.
July is hot and humid in Cancun. Beach semi-formal to formal. Dont forget the sunblock
All the restaurants, buffets, pool food, and alcoholic/ non alcolic drinks are free at Hyatt Ziva, included in your stay. There are also snacks and drinks in the room that are restocked each day, along with coffee shops and dessert carts that pop up free as well. There are upgrades available in restaurants that will be noted with an additional price per item, and events on the beach (steak night, surf and turf night etc) for additional charge if those interest you. Avoid the timeshare people, especially at check in. It may seem that they work for the hotel but they aim to enroll you in a "presentation" which will take up a significant amount of time on your stay. Politely let them know that you are not interested and the bride has little patience for your tardiness :) You will find that tipping is highly appreciated on resort to the hardworking servers and hotel staff such as bellhops etc. Having plenty of single or fives available is a good idea, as it can be more difficult to break larger currency. USD and pesos work well.
We are getting married! Please see the schedule section of our website, however aside from our day, we want you to enjoy your time and relax, doing as you see fit. There are few expectations beyond the wedding day for your participation, however if you would like to hang out with us we will make our plans known as we go
We love and enjoy kids! It is a family resort. If you are able to join us in Mexico, we are happy for the kiddos to join us on our day also.
