Most people don’t wake up every morning thinking they’re going to meet the person they’d eventually marry, especially if your day consist of meeting up with a study group in the library. We were just mere classmates at the time, not having a clue what life had in store for us or that it would bring us together. But we’re so happy that it did. We built our relationship during the remainder our time at MSU with countless conversations talking about life and the future and what each other’s goals were. Getting out into the real world took us to Arizona, where we moved in together. As other couples would already know, this brought about its own challenges. The love that connected us together only grew stronger between us as we learned from one another and explored our desert home. We decided to spread our love by rescuing a Blue Heeler named Lucy. The next chapter was saying goodbye to Arizona and hello to Texas. We established new jobs, new friends, and new memories in the lone star state. We then decided to make the next memory a big one in buying a house. We’ve put our blood, sweat, and hearts into our house so that we can call it more than just our home, but a place where our family and friends can come and experience joy and fun as well. We made our commitment to each other official in December of 2021. We held a Tea Ceremony where both families got to come together in a unified celebration. We’d hoped to have a larger celebration, but we had to put safety first and knew many more larger celebrations were to come. Looking back, it’s kind of funny that we first met in a library, because we’ve already written many chapters in the story of our journey together. This story is not yet finished, and the next chapter is one we can’t wait to get to share with our family and friends on January 14th, 2022!
