So there I was, snooping through the Bumble dating app. I came across Chelsea’s profile, got excited and swiped right! When I set up my profile, I had my location preferences set up so that I would only match with people within 10 miles of my location. So, when I swiped right, I was at my friend Chris’ place who lives right around the corner from where Chelsea used to live, I made the mistake of not adjusting the settings to only look for matches within 10 miles from where I lived! Over the next day or two we connected and began chatting and I was under the impression that she lived in my neighborhood and boy was I way off! I found out she was way far north of me and I was way south of her 45 minutes by car! Either way, I asked her out and we met up on the west side of town at a place called “Public School 702” on Thursday October 15th, 2020! We talked and had drinks and ate and wound up feeling that feeling you feel where it seems as if you had picked up where you left off with a complete stranger that you feel like you’ve met before! It was magic! I said to Chelsea at some point after our first date that, “It feels like we’ve caught lightening in a bottle!” Now here we are 2 years later, gettin’ hitched!
Those of you that know Sean understand why I am so lucky to call him my fiancé. Of course you think and imagine different scenarios of how the man you love is going to propose to you. One of my biggest hopes was that Sean incorporated those that mean the most to us in his proposal. He of course hit it out of the park. Our kids got to be there and see Sean ask me to marry him. He set up a "family photo shoot" for us at Seven Magic Mountains. Of course we were a little frantic and frazzled cause who isn't when you have four kids and you are trying to coordinate pictures lol! So between trying to get everyone standing in the right position, smiling, & not having the fun sibling arguments Sean said, " Girls, I think its time I ask your mom a question." He pulled out a ring box and went to get down on his knee but changed his mind and said, "I think this is the wrong knee!" He quickly switched knees which we all laughed at and then he ASKED if I would marry him. I don't think I have ever answered a question more quickly than I did that day. Of course I said YES to marrying my best friend, my lightening in a bottle, my forever, and my future husband. Sean is always thoughtful and genuine in life so of course he made my dream proposal come true.
