Sand Point Beach
Answer
Sand Point Beach is a scenic spot inside Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, Michigan. Sand Pont Beach is about 4 miles northeast of downtown Munising. From town, follow H-58 East and signs for Sand Point Road. The beach is open to the public and there may be other people there at the same time.

Parking
Answer
There is limited parking available at Sand Point Beach and is first-come, first serve. Please arrive with enough time to find a parking spot and consider carpooling, we are hopeful that a Wednesday will be less busy than a weekend. We suggest arriving at least an hour before the ceremony to prevent any delays and parking issues. Ubers are available in Munising, but may need to be scheduled in advance due to potentially longer pickup times/less availability than in larger cities.

The ceremony will be on the beach. Our permit only allows us to set up a maximum of 10 seats ourselves. Please bring a seat (camping/folding/beach chair)

Dress code

Wear whatever feels comfortable to you, “beach casual” is sufficient. Please don’t wear white or light pink. This is a natural beach setting and there may be uneven ground, and weather near Lake Superior can change quickly, so bring layers and comfortable shoes. Keep in mind we will have a professional photographer.

We ask that you don’t bring a plus one unless specifically invited. This is intentionally a micro-wedding and we would like to keep it small. We also have a permit for the beach that only allows a specific amount of guests.

We don’t have a hotel block. There are major hotel chains in Munising like Americinn, Comfort Inn & Holiday Inn express. There are also many local hotels/motels/bed and breakfast establishments as well as AirBnBs.

Pizza @ the beach

We will have pizza from Pictured Rocks Pizza directly after the ceremony. Gluten free options will be available. Drinks will be provided before/after the ceremony. Feel free to bring your own drinks and/or snacks if you feel inclined.

Boat Tour
Answer
The Pictured Rocks boat tour is 2 hours and 40 minutes. This is our reception and we will be taking the "Sunset Cruise" that departs around 6:15pm. Tickets are $48 and available for purchase at: https://book.singenuity.com/878/catalog/date/19/8/2026 (Sunset classic cruise).
