Don’t all the best love stories begin at a college party? Ours certainly did! We first crossed paths in the fall of 2017, brought together by mutual friends and Greek life at CSU East Bay. As we attended events and spent time together, our bond grew stronger. After going through the normal college scramble of living in various apartments and homes, we were fortunate enough to buy our first home together in February of 2023. Later that year in June, on a family trip to Hawaii, Nils coordinated the proposal with Chelsea’s family. The question was popped under one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Kauai, but don’t let that fool you - it was an 8-mile hike just to get there! The ongoing joke is that if we ever want to revisit our proposal spot for anniversaries, we’ll have to earn it with another hike! One of our most joyous recent celebrations was our joint bachelor/bachelorette party on a cruise ship surrounded by 30 of our closest friends and family. We reveled in the love and support as we embarked on the exciting journey of planning our wedding. It was a unique and unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever!
