Question

Can we bring our dog?

Answer

Sadly, we can't have new dogs added to the mix. There are already several dogs and cats that live on the property and we've been asked to leave the doggos at home. There are also a whole flock of chickens and ducks on the property as well. We'll miss them!

Will there be a lifeguard at the river?

Answer

We will not have a lifeguard on duty so please make sure you are responsible when near or in the water. This is a fast flowing river, and very cold. There's a beautiful beach and large eddy where it is possible to swim and stay safely close to shore but remember to never swim alone and keep an eye on any children near the water. Safety first!

What amenities are there for campers?

Answer

We have lots of amazing camping zones, and a few forest platforms for people to pitch tents. We will have running water for you to fill up water bottles or clean dishes. There will be a single bathroom trailer next to the camping zone, and another large 3 stall bathroom just a couple hundred feet from the bathroom with running water/toilets/lights! There will be a "central camp" at the Great Hall building, where we will have indoor bathrooms, a small kitchen, grills, COFFEE, and tables for folks to use when making their own meals and hanging out. There will also be a large fire pit for hanging around at night and some kegs of beer ready to tap Friday evening. Please, remember to bring your headlamp and if you've got some fun twinkle lights for your camping area as it will be dark in the forest!

Can I go in every building on the property?

Answer

We have a nifty map that you will receive upon arrival and this lays out the places that are off limits. There are people who live here at the McKenzie River Eco Lodge, and these are their private residences. We will direct you to places if it is ok to explore, but try to be respectful of peoples' homes while on site. Thank you!
