Chelsea and Luis attended the same engineering conference in Ft. Worth Texas. Luis attended as a recruiter with the Navy. Chelsea intended to earn a scholarship or internship opportunity. She decided to enter a scholarship competition and was interviewed by Luis. She was selected to be on his team and the rest was history.

Prior to a family vist, Luis had plans to make that trip a little more special. The day before our flight he suggested a sunset dinner at Malibu Pier (one of our favorite spots to take visitors). As we waited for our seats we took a stroll down the pier. Luis tapped the shoulder of a "tourist" (who happens to now be our best man), ready to capture the moment. Before Chelsea was able to digest what was happening, Luis was on one knee and could't help but say, "YES, are you sure?" We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in out lives with you.
