Maid of Honor
At six years old, Jocelyn and I both moved to Deerfield Lane. We grew up together on the same street with only being a few houses away from each other. Over 28 years ago, we were just those little girls who were playing in the street, playing dress-up, and the little girls who got into mischief at a young age (sorry mom and dad). I will always remember the day where we got in trouble in 6th grade for passing notes to each other in class, or the days where we drove matching mustangs in high school and blasted "Yung Joc". But mostly, I will always look back and remember that you have always been a part of every chapter of my life since we were just those little girls who grew up together.
Bridesmaid
I had met Bree towards the end of high school through mutual friends of ours. Bree had quickly become an instrumental part of my life. It wasn't long before we became each other's "road dogs" or "forest fairies", as Aunt Pam would say. Growing up with you as my best friend has made for the greatest adventurers that I will never forget. Whether it was us wearing our "Flossy" hats on the Skater in Havasu, or swimming with sharks in Bora Bora, or simply us just sitting on the couch together watching murder documentaries and discussing the psychology of it all. All of my favorite memories growing up have you in all of them.
Bridesmaid
I had first met Cierra in 9th grade at Valencia High School. We had started to become closer towards the end of high school as we both started our next chapter together at College of the Canyons. Through that time at working towards earning our college degrees, we also earned our degrees in beer pong champions...none of the boys ever wanted to play against us because they knew that they would lose. We danced together every Monday night at Metal School, and we watched Friends together on the couch often. Cierra has always been the voice of reason, the one to never give up, and most importantly, the one to never fail about being my best friend.
Best Man
I first met Marc "Marky" Martinez the summer of 2005 entering my first year at Buena High School running Cross Country. We didn't immediately hit it off as he was a grade ahead, significantly faster, and had a big comedic personality that truly intimidated me. What nurtured our friendship over the first two years of high school and has since continued is our connection to sports, gaming, and of course our very similar sense of humor. Post high school we both attended Ventura College running cross country and track and field, and that carried over to Cal State San Marcos. Never did I imagine that at 14 years old Marc would play such an important role in my life. All I can think is how thankful I am that he still is here by my side through all of life's twist and turns.
Groomsman
Chris is the longest friend I have to date. We met the summer of 2003 at the Boys & Girls Club playing basketball. We would spend the occasional lunch in middle school playing basketball together but wouldn't become really great friends until a couple years later. We ran cross country all 4 years of high school and lived only a block away from each other. Safe to say we spent a majority of our time outside of school with each other. It seemed like we went from teammates/acquaintances to brothers overnight. And by the end of our junior year Chris' mother Jan welcomed me into their home because of my family struggles. Our entire senior year we lived together and only became closer. I credit Chris and his mother Jan with saving my life and being the olive branch that I needed to help guide me in the right direction, and for that I will be forever thankful.
Groomsman
I first met Nick on the Fourth of July of 2018, only a couple of weeks into dating Chelsea. Being the older brother of Chelsea, I wasn't expecting a warm welcome, but that is exactly what I got. From the very beginning, Nick has been a welcoming presence, and one I can always count on for a good story. Over the years we have grown close spending time together on many of the Pappas' adventures and merging of our families. I really appreciate the relationship he has fostered with Thomas. Now whenever I tell Thomas we're going to dinner or doing something special, his initial question is "Is Nick going to be there?". Nick has had the ability to make me feel welcomed and a part of this new family since the beginning. I am proud and thankful that I have a new brother to turn too.
