We owe this love to his sister and my best friend Lacy. Jordan and I first met during a sleepover with Lacy. Lacy and I made a blanket fort and while we ate dinner, Jordan came in and wrecked it. First impression of Jordan, I was not impressed and very annoyed. So if you would have told me 14 years ago, I would marry that boy that wrecked our sleepover, I would have rolled my eyes and would not have believed it. Well 14 years later, we reconnected and he did what he does best, wrecked my world, but this time in the most beautiful way. From the beginning we have always described our relationship as effortless, full of love and laughter and that still rings true today. To say he has redeemed himself from that sleepover 14 years ago, is an understatement.
It was a Thursday, November 11, 2021 and we were celebrating his birthday early. We invited his family, my family and our mutual friends to celebrate his 28th birthday! I was NOT expecting to get engaged! My mom, brother and best friend weren’t there, so to say I was in complete shock is an understatement. We were cooking dinner and drinking. We had cake and then started opening gifts. When he got to the last gift, he pulled out golf balls. Little did I know, in with the golf balls was a ring box! Suddenly he was down on one knee and proposed! Of course I said "YES," and now we're engaged!
