Red String Theory and The Story of Us <3

The Red String of Fate Legend has it that an invisible red string, tied by destiny, connects two souls who are meant to be together. No matter the distance, circumstances, or twists and turns along the way, this string can never be broken. It may stretch or tangle, but it always ensures that these two destined individuals find each other at the perfect moment. This timeless tale is a beautiful symbol of love, connection, and the power of fate—reminding us that true love is written in the stars. It’s a reminder that every step of the journey, no matter how unexpected, leads us to the one we’re meant to spend forever with. For us, the red string brought us together, and now it’s guiding us into a future filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures. --- Come with me down memory lane, to a little basement bar in Hamburg called Roadies. It was probably close to noon when I was sent outside to grab orders for all of the guys working on the exterior of the building. I wandered around to all the various ladders and wrote down on my little note pad who wanted what. "Guy with the bandana" was written on a slip along with a well done burger with just cheese and bacon. Can you guess who that guy was? Yep...Jeramia, although I didn't know it at the time. He would come for a meal from time to time after that job ended, and oftentimes he would bring his daughter. At the time we hadn't exchanged anything but pleasantries, no names, no leading questions, just genuine kindness between strangers. Fast forward a few years and I am now sitting at the bar at a place called Jameson's. I had a few friends who worked there so, as one does on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in your 20s, I took myself up and had a nice drink and a delicious meal. This Saturday however, came with an introduction. One of the bartenders had hired a friend of hers and she insisted I meet him. "This is my brother Jay" smiles and hellos were exchanged. Neither of us recognizing the other. The day went by as usual, like we hadn’t just been nudged back into each other’s orbit. Cut to early 2014, I am now working as a server at Stout. We had been through the ringer with the bouncers lately, and in true Chelsea fashion, I was rolling my eyes as; once again, a handful of new bouncers walked through the back door. As I stood in the galley, one of the other girls working locked eyes onto one of the men who'd walked in. There in the doorway stood Jeramia. Finally our red string tied us tightly together and from that moment forward, we have been inseparable.

For all the days along the way
