James and I met at the Brigantine Cove in 2018. It was Memorial Day weekend, we spent the day with mutual friends on the beach getting to know each other. We shared a few drinks and some laughs. We ended the day taking a spin on his jet ski. A week later, I met James at his Country Club to hit the driving range and have lunch. We ended the day with beach ride in his truck to the end of Ocean City. We had a drink and watched the sunset. We had a strong connection and even more in common. After that day we didn't spend more than a day apart! We spent the summer together our favorite way, in the sun on the water...The rest is history!
James and I were visiting the gorgeous state of Utah when he popped the big question. We spent the day on a grueling 9 mile hike in Zion National Park. We climbed boulders, crossed streams, and enjoyed all the beautiful scenery together. On our way back, James suggested we get a picture before the sun went down. I was exhausted and didn't think much of it. We found a beautiful spot as a hiking couple walked by and offered to take the photo. As we took the picture I remember James said, "Okay one more I got something else" as he slowly got down on one knee. With tears in his eyes he asked me to marry him and it was the easiest "YES!" I was so shocked, it took me a few seconds to process! We were both overwhelmed with emotion - it could not have been any more perfect. We sat on the cliff to take in the moment before finishing our hike. That trip changed our lives. Utah will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
