Maid of Honor
Schwan and I met at Hope College while pledging the Sigma Sigma sorority together. We navigated all of the typical college chaos together while never having a dull moment! Schwan has always been my go-to with bad news, good news, and everything in between. Some of my favorite memories include college basement parties, spending a weekend in northern Michigan, and basic white-girl weekends at apple orchards. Schwan is truly what I imagined a sorority sister would be like and I am honored that she will be standing next to me on my big day!
Bridesmaid
Sarah is my work bestie! From sharing a tiny old closet office to cross country road trips to save animals, we vibe better than average co-workers! Together, we have navigated handling sketchy animals, travelled to Boston to learn more about animal behavior, and spent countless nights downtown Holland at our favorite bar.
Bridesmaid
Tay is married to my younger brother, Zach. She is such a fun and wild addition to the Klomp family! Whether she is organizing a family board game night or raving about Bingo games in Florida, there is never a dull moment with Tay! One of my favorite memories with Tay include quarantining together when Covid hit. We spent a month hiking together everyday and playing Mario Party every night.
Bridesmaid
Alicia is married to my older brother, Brandon. She has not only been a sister-in-law the last 7 years, but a great friend! Alicia is a great person to "nerd out" with- talking about Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel, and more. She always gives us the best recommendations for new and interesting TV shows and movies, and always brings the most unique board games to family game nights. Alicia is also the amazing mom to our adorable flower girl, Winnie.
Groomsman
Brandon is Chelsea's older brother, and married to bridesmaid, Alicia. Brandon and Chelsea are only 2 years apart and grew up together riding go-karts, camping in Newago, spending summers in the backyard pool, and (almost always) getting along very well for siblings. In the last 7 years, Jake and Brandon have gotten to know each other well over family trips to Florida, vacationing at a lake house in Baldwin, and through family game nights. Jake and Brandon share a love of Rick and Morty, Pokemon, and all things Marvel.
Groomsman
Zach is Chelsea's younger brother, and married to bridesmaid, Tay. Zach and Chelsea spent their childhood together filming home movies, playing Nintendo games, and writing the world's worst rap songs. Zach and Jake spent a lot of time hanging out at Zach/Chelsea's Hudsonville house, playing Mario Party and talking sports.
Best Man
Dan and Jake met in college at Western Michigan University, where they bonded quickly over their love of cars and hockey. One of Jake's favorite memories includes an all-nighter engineering projects involving a mouse trap, pvc pipes, late night burritos, and no sleep. Post-college, Jake and Dan's relationship mainly consists of sharing trashy Facebook marketplace finds, hating on each other's hockey teams (Colorado Avalanche and Chicago Blackhawks respectively), and Jake telling Dan to stop buying broken jet skis. Through thick and thin, Dan has always been by Jake's side.
Best Man
Josh and Jake have spent years working together with all things fish, and also sharing one brain cell between the two of them. Work projects and hangouts alike are often spent quoting Rick and Morty, making fun of each other, and never going more than 5 minutes without a laugh. When Josh and Jake work together, they have a way of forcing co-workers to rethink major life decisions. Josh and Jake share a love of fish, coral, and marine invertebrates; don't even get them started about pictus cats. Their relationship mainly consists of sharing "dank memes", and asking Josh to be part of all day aquarium builds, "for the last time".
Flower Child
Winnie is the sweetest little niece!
Ring Bearer
Chloe has been Jake's little shadow since she was 8 weeks old- 11 years ago. She is our chaotic little old lady best friend that keeps our lives interesting. We couldn't imagine our big day without the cutest "ring bear" we know!
