FAQs

Question

Why "Carmichael"?

Answer

When we eloped in October 2024, we took an old family name on Ian's side, after George Carmichael III.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask you RSVP before September 1st so that we can plan accordingly. Please contact us directly for any questions or concerns!

Question

What is the dress code for the ceremony? The reception?

Answer

Our dress code is cocktail. To us, cocktail means fun colors and patterns - maybe that outfit that's been sitting in your closet that you don't have an occasion to wear it to yet. For ideas, we think this is a helpful visual: https://www.theknot.com/content/cocktail-wedding-attire. We'd like you to feel dressed up but comfortable - NH weather in October can be unpredictable, but both the ceremony and reception locations are indoors!

Question

Where do I park for the ceremony?

Answer

There is limited parking available at the church. There is free street parking available throughout downtown Franklin, and a parking lot in front of our house (29 Ayles Court) a short walk from the church. Those with mobility challenges can utilize spots to the right and in front of the church.

Question

Where do I park for the reception?

Answer

Parking is available to the right of Odysea. We kindly ask spaces in front be made available for those with mobility challenges. If possible, carpooling would be helpful.

Question

Will there be drinks at the reception?

Answer

We'll be having a cash bar at the reception. Guests are welcome to purchase drinks with cash or credit card.
