Optional Tour of San Jose Region

7:00 am - 6:00 pm

This is an all day tour with a moderate amount of walking so we recommend comfortable clothing and shoes

Experience the best the San Jose region has to offer in a day trip! We have hired a private tour company to give the gringos a tour of Costa Rica. The tour will depart from the Hilton Garden Inn La Sabana where we have the hotel block at 4:30 am. The early wake up call is worth it - we promise! The tour will include breakfast, a tour of a coffee farm, a coffee and chocolate tasting, and visits to the Butterfly reserve and the Poas Voclcano with a bilingual guide. If you are interested in attending, the cost is $100 per person which can be sent via Venmo or PayPal to either Chelsea or Guillermo because we will pay the tour company in one lump sum. Lunch is a separate per person cost you will pay the day of the tour. Please RSVP via the website if you are interested in attending by January6th and reach out with any questions!

We would like to welcome all of our out of town guests to Costa Rica and provide an opportunity to meet all of Guillermo's Tico friends and family! There will be light bites and a beer or cocktail for each guest. Both out of town and Costa Rican guests are welcome! Please RSVP via the website by January 6th so we have an accurate headcount. Following drinks, Barrio Escalante has many restaurants to visit for dinner should you like including Amana (contemporary), Apotecario (artisanal beer and food), Arbol de Ceda (vegetarian), La Yerbatera (seafood), Mantra (contemporary rooftop restaurant) and Delirio if you want to go out to a fun bar later in the evening. We recommend you make a reservation at any of these locations if you are interested in eating dinner there after the welcome event.

Bus Pickup and Dropoff

2:45 pm - 11:00 pm

The bus will pick up any guests who would like to be transported to the wedding at 2:45 pm from the Hilton Garden Inn. You do not need to be a hotel guest to take the bus to the wedding. The bus will return from Alta Fiori to the Hilton Garden Inn when the wedding ends at 11 pm. Please RSVP by January 6th if you plan to take the bus so we have an accurate headcount.
