We went to the same school since middle school and had mutual friends. It wasn't until I had a class with his best buds, Alex and Devin, that we entered each other's radar. Then one day, I was walking down the hall and Easton, Alex, and Devin walk by and Easton yells, "hey cutie," and keeps walking. We met up after the football game that night thanks to some more mutual friends, went to Little Coopers Town for dinner, and the pumpkin patch the following weekend... AND NOW 8 YEARS LATER we are tying the knot. š„°
It was a normal Saturday. We woke up around 9am, which was surprisingly early for a Saturday. Easton said he needed to run home to help his mom with some chores around the house and that heād be back later to pick me up for our run. A little after 11am, he picked me up and we headed to Stonecreek Golf course. Thereās a three mile running trail that surrounds the course that we used to run one to two times a week. When we got there and starting running, Easton got his phone out to play music out loud, which was strange because we normally just talk while we run. Then after two minutes or so, his phone died and he got super upset about it. I thought it was odd. About five minutes in, we got to the bridge that runs across a large pond area. Half way across the bridge, I noticed pink flower petals on the ground that continued up the pathway and around the corner. I looked to easton while running and said, āit looks like someone got engaged earlier.ā He laughed and as we contiuned running up the hill and around the corner. It was then that i saw a blanket on the ground with rose sticks laid out to form a heart. I was so surprised and asked easton what was going on. He grabbed his keys and fandled with them for a second (yes he had the engagment ring on his car keys ring). Once he had the ring, you could tell he had a whole bunch of things he wanted to say, but he was super nervous. He told me he loved me and dropped down to one knee and asked me to marry him. AND I SAID YES!! EASY DECISION!! THEN, KC Lopez jumps out of the trees as he was photographing the whole thing. We took more photos and then continued on with our run. Easton never went to his momās house to help with chores. He went to the trail, laid out the flower petals and the flower stems, asked KC to be there for photos, and then came back to pick me up. It was so special to me and he couldnt have asked me in a better way. š¤š
