I'm sure most everyone knows our story but, it all started when we met sophomore year in high school through mutual friends. Fast forward to mid 2011, Dylan had just come back from living in Utah for a while and we began to hang out almost everyday. We would sit in the bed of my truck and talk for hours or watch silly infomercials, laughing all night. Then, one day, I thought I was going to spend the day with a friend of ours but Dylan had other plans for me. He planned this amazing, elaborate scavenger hunt that led me to dinner with him. From that night on, we have been together. What a wonderful eight years it has been!

In July 2018, we visited Dylan’s brother in New York. We had such a fun week and decided to end our trip with a picnic in Central Park. We packed up some snacks and wine and searched for the perfect spot. We found a cool little secluded area on a hill, behind some trees and set up our picnic. After lunch and enjoying the beautiful day, Dylan suggested we try out the tripod his brother gave us to take pictures. He set it up and took a couple practice pictures then joined me. He stood there for a second then stopped, turned to me and got down on his knee. I was completely shocked. Between me giggling, he asked me to marry him and of course I said yes! And, it turned out, he wasn’t just taking pictures, he recorded the whole proposal too. We called our families to share the big news then Dylan informed me that there were more a couple more surprises. He took me to this hotel with an amazing view of the Hudson River and the whole Manhattan area. His brother even got there before us and set up champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. We watched the beautiful sunset and as a last surprise, had a delicious dinner. It was beyond perfect!
