6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Beach Cocktail
Our rehearsal dinner will be the official kick-off to our festivities! We will have Sangria, Mojitos, Beer and Wine in the open bar. We recommend trying the local beer, Medalla! Food options will include a Petite Salad Station, a Mini Mofongo Station (a classic Puerto Rican dish) and a Pizzeta station. We will have our photographer present to capture the special moments and a couple of speeches from our closest friends. There is no need for formal dress, but we do recommend cocktail attire- a nice sundress or jumpsuit for the ladies and ask that denim be avoided for the men. We can’t wait to see you there!
4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Formal: Dress to impress! Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.
Before the ceremony, join the Groom at the Hotel El Convento lobby between 4:00 pm-4:30 pm for a glass of champagne to start this special day. Around 4:45 pm, all guests will be guided by Rosalina, our wedding planner, to the ceremony site, La Rogativa. This is a two-block walk from the Hotel El Convento and is an outdoor location. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm. Enjoy the magnificent ocean and mountain views. Make sure to bring sunglasses! Please note, this will be an unplugged ceremony. Please do not take pictures on your cell phone during the ceremony- we will share all pictures with everyone after the wedding.
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Following the ceremony at La Rogativa, all guests will walk back to Hotel El Convento and enjoy hors d'oeuvre and mojitos on the outdoor courtyard terrace.
7:00 pm - 11:45 pm
The Wedding Reception will be held in the beautiful Salon Martorell, a handpainted room by local artist, Antonio Martorell. Enjoy the Open Bar and a 3 Course Plated Dinner during the first dances and speeches. Following the cake cutting, the tropical dance party will begin!
10:00 am - 11:30 am
Casual Attire: Anything goes, from sundresses and sandals to jeans and tees.
Join us to reflect on the Whalley-Ryckis wedding! Please note this event will be at your own expense, should you attend. There is a $40 minimum spend per person. We will share stories, pictures, and more delicious food and drinks in the beautiful city of Old San Juan.
6:00 pm
Our family will be heading to the surfing capital of Puerto Rico, Rincon for the weekend and wanted to extend the invite to all guests. Guests will need to find their own transportation and accommodations in Rincon. We will host a pool party and BBQ at our Airbnb that we have rented near the beach. Throughout the weekend we will coordinate surfing lessons, dinners at the best restaurants on the island, and cave tubing. We invite all guests to head out to Rincon and join us for whichever events suit your interests. The more the merrier! If you RSVP yes to this, I will connect with you personally on our weekend itinerary.
