Everyone's safety is our highest priority and we want our guests to feel safe and comfortable! At this time, we ask that ALL guests over the age of 2 plan to wear masks inside the mansion while not actively eating or drinking, in accordance with the current Philadelphia city mandate (though there is a possibility that this may change by November). We are requiring vaccination by all eligible guests and proof of recent (within 72 hours) negative COVID-19 Test (PCR test) for any guests unable to be fully vaccinated by the event date. This is based on CDC recommendations for large events and Philadelphia indoor business guidelines. Other precautions include improved airflow via open doors/windows in the venue and taking advantage of outdoor space whenever possible.
With the help of Uber, no car is necessary. The Philadelphia area hotels are easily accessible by SEPTA transit from 30th Street Train Station, which is one of the major transit hubs, via trolley or subway. From the hotels to the venue, you would need to utilize a rideshare (Uber, Lyft, or taxi) service. The room block is accessible from either 30th Street Train Station and the Philadelphia International Airport via rideshare (30-40 minute drive). The room block is a short rideshare (20 minutes) drive to the venue.
While it was our initial intention to provide shuttle service, natural disaster (flooding) forced a change in hotel to a location that does not have shuttle service. We are sorry for the inconvenience; rideshare services will need to be utilized for this purpose.
No need to attempt parallel parking! The venue has a free parking lot with enough space for everyone. If you plan to leave your car overnight, however, you will need to either find street parking or keep your car parked at your hotel (recommended). Uber and Lyft rideshare services are also readily available, so we encourage guests to utilize these options if they intend on drinking.
Dress code is dressy casual to semi-formal, whatever makes you feel comfortable. Examples include sundresses, cocktail dresses, suits, dress slacks and button-downs. While dinner and dancing takes place inside the mansion, our ceremony will be outdoors and you are free to walk the grounds as well as enjoy cocktail hour on the terrace (weather permitting), so we recommend bringing some light outerwear if the forecast is chilly.
Please let us know about any food allergies, food intolerances (e.g. lactose, gluten), or religious dietary restrictions at the time of your RSVP so that we can accommodate your needs. Plenty of non-meat options will be available, so vegetarians need not worry!
While you may bring your children, we do caution that careful supervision throughout the evening will be required for their safety. Our venue involves full use of a historic mansion and the accompanying grounds, so there are a number of potential hazards: fragile antique furnishings/items, steep staircases, multiple floors of nooks and corners where a little one could hide or get stuck, an open firepit, and 13 acres of land and wooded areas. Children's meals are available upon request; if necessary, please indicate such on RSVP card or via web RSVP.
