Wedding Day
The Jewel Box
This historic building is where the Wedding Ceremony will take place. It is located in Forest Park. This location is so important to Colton and Chelsea because when they first started dating, they went here. It is an absolutely stunning greenhouse. On that date Colton asked if they could get married here.... ever since that day, they have always thought of this location! We would recommend showing up earlier and account for possible traffic that weekend. Once you park, there is a walk to the building. If you need assistance accessing the building, please let the Bride and Groom know before the wedding.
The Franklin of Soulard
For the last 5 years, we have been living in Soulard. We love the area and cannot wait to dance the night away for the reception at this historic location! Please join us to dance the night away in this stunning ballroom. That being said it is the city. We will have security guards on the property during the reception. Ubers/taxis will be cheap from the Jewel Box to The Franklin of Soulard. The venue has some fenced in parking and on the street parking. If you leave your car in Soulard overnight, just be mindful people walking around the streets.
Saint Louis Zoo
During the little break between events, you could walk over to the entrance of the zoo and see some giraffes. The Jewel Box is one turn away from the Zoo. The zoo is also free. Would recommend walking from the Jewel Box to the Giraffe entrance.
The Cascades "Flegal Falls"
While in Forest Park you could look at a waterfall. You look nice, take photos before the reception! It is a pretty drive through the park to get to the waterfall. We took our engagement photos here and they turned out magical!
Art Hill
This is a very famous location in Forest Park. Art Hill has a beautiful view on top and from the bottom. Such a pretty drive through the park. Just note on Saturdays the parking on Art Hill is busy. You may not get a parking in the parking lots. We took our engagement photos here as well and they also turned out beautiful.
Boathouse at Forest Park
This is an AMAZING location for a bite, a drink, or paddle boating. It is a boathouse on the water that goes out to Art Hill. This is one of my favorite hidden gems in Saint Louis! Would highly recommend to kill an hour!
Anheuser-Busch St. Louis Brewery
The most famous brewery in Saint Louis is also in Soulard. You can grab a beer in the Beer Garden. They have amazing food and fresh beer! We love this place!
Duke's
If we go out the night of the wedding this is probably, where will we go! This is a fun sports bar. Would recommend if you want a drink before the reception! It is down the street from The Franklin of Soulard. You could walk from this bar to the reception.
Big Daddy's Bar in Soulard #1 Patio & Party Spot
I would highly recommend this bar for a quick drink before the reception! It is a little off the beaten path but it is a staple in Soulard!
Clementine's Naughty & Nice Ice Cream
Thinking something different, go to Lafayette Square. This area is BEAUTIFUL and located right out of Soulard. The ice cream is bomb! They also have boozy ice cream!
Molly's In Soulard
One of the most popular and famous bars in Soulard. While there is a break between the ceremony and reception, feel free to grab a bite or a drink at this beautiful stop! They have a great patio and good food.
Chava's Mexican Restaurant
We love this Mexican Restaurant in Soulard! They have great service, great food, and a mean Margaritta. Would highly recommend!
