Chelsea moved to Virginia in 2016 for grad school and met several new friends. One of which was Alphonso's roommate. Chelsea and Alphonso would see each other in passing as Alphonso was always going to a family cookout or working at Busch Gardens. One night while hanging out, Chelsea and Alphonso locked eyes, as if it was love... after several sights. Chelsea thereafter told Alphonso's roommate she was interested in Alphonso. He relayed the message as requested and... well... the rest is history.
