Alex and I met through a mutual friend, Michael Jenkins. We were at Serums in Anoka and Alex asked me to dance. From there, we hung out for the rest of the night! The next day Alex asked if my friend Tennille Olson and I wanted to go out again and we didn’t have anything else planned so we did! When we met up with Alex, he tripped over a chair when he was coming over to say Hi to us! I think he was a little excited to see me! We hung out again for the rest of the night and had a good time! Alex and I went on our first date without any friends a few days later. We just went to a local bar, Biffs, for drinks. I was sitting on the bar stool that was wobbly singing “stuck like glue” by SugarLand, when Alex looked at me and said “I hate country music” I laughed at him and said, “I am going to change your world” Who would have thought we would be here 7 ½ years later, celebrating our wedding! Alex and I have been through a lot in the last 7 ½ years, but through it all, we have only became closer and a stronger couple. Alex and I have always been on the same page with each other and we have built such a strong life together! We are so excited to start this new chapter in our life as Husband and Wife.

Alex and I went to Red Wing for a small getaway. We walked around the town then went down to the river to walk. As we were looking at the River, Alex turned around went down on one knee and proposed. I was in shocked and had tears in my eyes as I said “YES”
