It was a modern day Cinderella story - after spending many college Saturdays in a boiling hot pool viewing deck (thanks Tommy!) staring at the hottest guy on the swim team, Chelsea finally worked up the courage to talk to Dave at dollar drink night at the local F&M watering hole, The Village. They spent the night tearing up the neon dance floor, didn't exchange numbers, and then Chelsea left with her friends. Dave resorted to sending a Facebook message, prompting Chelsea, in an attempt to play it cool, to pretend not to see it. She lasted all of one day and they agreed to meet up that next night. After more fire dance moves, the two decided they owed a visit to Tommy, the only common thread for these wildly different people. Tommy patiently stood in his apartment hallway in the middle of swim dry season as the pair drank one single beer, and the rest is history.
It was Labor Day Weekend, the last weekend of another perfect shore summer. Chelsea's friends, Becky and Mo, had set the scene perfectly: the three were required to look cute all weekend and they were going to lunch on the boat Saturday afternoon. Chelsea rushed Dave out to their neighbor's dock around 11 when Becky said she was on her way, and casually sat down. With her sister hidden on the roof deck sneaking photos, and her parents hidden on the porch, Dave asked Chelsea to marry him and she said yes! They celebrated with their families and friends on the beach, at their favorite Happy Hour spot, The Clam Bar, and enjoyed dinner at their favorite restaurant, the Black Whale, before dancing the night away at the Surf City Hotel. We can't wait to dance the night away again, this time with all of you!
After COVID-19 forced us to postpone from our original wedding date, we decided that there was too much left unknown about the future. In a private ceremony with our parents, brother, and sister at our side - we got married! We cannot wait to celebrate with all of our favorite friends and family as soon as it is safe to do so. Until then, we are tackling this pandemic as husband and wife!
