When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVPs for the wedding should be made no later than October 1st, 2025 under the RSVP tab here on the website. If you do not RSVP by the 1st you will no longer be able to RSVP and will be considered as not attending. Please make sure you are RSVPing to each event under your name as it is important in the execution of the events surrounding the wedding!

What time should you arrive?

Answer

There is a full detailed description of the wedding day under the schedule tab, with that being said pre-ceremony appetizers start at 2:30pm. Note: If you are staying the night at the lodge please arrive early enough so you have time to check into your room and still enjoy the goodies! Checkin also begins at 2pm

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We would love for everyone to dress up, look good and feel good for our big day so we ask for cocktail/evening attire! Keep in mind the ceremony will be outside, if weather allows, and you will be walking on grass, rock, and dirt terrain. You can wear any color you'd like but we kindly ask that you do not wear white, cream, or any shade related as this is reserved for the Bride and Groom!

What is the color/theme?

Answer

This will be Taylor and Chelsea's Happily Ever After. Cinnamon will be the main color with accents of lilac, cream, and green.

Can I bring a date? Are Kids Allowed?

Answer

Due to limited seating, we ask that you only bring the amount of people we have reserved seats in your honor for. We are only prepared to accommodate those on your invitation.

Will there be parking?

Answer

Yes! There will be tons of parking in front of the lodge and also throughout the whole town!

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be on open bar but not until after the ceremony ends! The bar will open two hours before the ceremony starts alongside pre ceremony appetizers. The open bar only includes bottom shelf liquor, beer and wine. Please bring money to tip your bartenders and staff! You are NOT allowed to BYOB unless cleared with the lodge before hand and this only includes bringing beer or wine. To do this check in with the bride and groom. Remember the drinks are on us but the hangover is on you!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be held outside, as long as weather allows, while the reception is inside with outside patio

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

Foresthill in November during the day are highs 65-lows 54. We will update this as it gets closer to the wedding.

Will there be transportation to and from the ceremony site and the reception location?

Answer

Yes. When you arrive you will go straight to the reception location, Forest House Lodge, and from there we will have a bus to shuttle you to and from the ceremony! No need to worry its only a short 5 minute drive down the road, we just want everyone to be able to take advantage of pre-ceremony apps and drinks and not have to worry about driving/parking.

What are the food options detailed?

MAPLE WHISKEY GLAZED CHICKEN Smokey charbroiled chicken glazed with our maple whiskey bbq sauce BLACKENED SALMON Spiced, seared and topped with a fresh mango pico de gallo and lime NEW YORK STEAK Juicy Filet with Maitre D'Hotel Butter The sides will include Garlic Herbed Mashed Potatoes, Mushroom Risotto, Garden Medley and with a Pink Lady Salad. KIDS BUFFET An array of kid friendly dinner items. I will have a more detailed description closer to the wedding. Alongside dinner there will be pre-ceremony appetizers, post-ceremony appetizers, and late night munchies. Those of you staying overnight at the lodge we will also have breakfast the next morning!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, you will select the dietary restrictions option and then let us know what it is we can do to accommodate you! The chef will make something personally depending on the info you provide! This will only be accounted for the people who truly can't chose an option on the menu as we only can do this to X amount of plates! Thank you!

Can I take photos at your wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will be an UNPLUGGED ceremony, meaning no phones out/taking pictures. As far as the reception goes you are more than welcome to take pictures/videos and upload them where your heart desires! We will be having a hashtag which is TBA!

Can we bring confetti??

Answer

Loose glitter, confetti, and sparklers are not allowed at Forest House Lodge. There will be flowers for everyone to toss at the ceremony!

When will the reception end/is there an after party?

Answer

There will be a dj and lots of dancing and the bar at the lodge doesn't close until 2am! After that we are able to order buckets of beer and wine to take down to the game room to party as long as we would like! The downstairs game room doesn't close until 6am so prepare to have your party pants on!
