Our story definitely did not start off as a fairytale. We were both fresh out of relationships that didn’t end on the greatest of terms. I was 19 and he was 25, both of us still young with an entire life ahead of us. Tyler texted me for weeks trying to convince me to hang out with him, but of course I rejected him. Tyler and I came from two totally different worlds; he was born and raised in a city in Ohio and I was raised completely opposite, in the middle of nowhere Kentucky. Finally, on April 29th 2017 I agreed. We met up at a park and had ice cream and talked for hours. Since that day we were inseparable. On May 7, 2017 we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. Things continued to move quickly after that. Less than a month later he moved in and 10 months after that we found out we were expecting. Unfortunately in April of 2018 we suffered a loss of pregnancy. Still, our relationship grew stronger. Of course there were ups and downs but despite everything we were in love. Our love continued to grow and on April 26th, 2019 Tyler got down on his knee and asked me to be with him forever. Of course I said yes and now exactly 4 years later, on May 07, 2021 we’re tying the knot.
April 26th, 2019 will forever be a day neither of us will forget. As I mentioned before, we lost a pregnancy in April 2018. A few days after the year anniversary Tyler and I had planned to go to the park to do a balloon release in memory of our angel. While we were there we walked around for close to an hour, eventually we stumbles upon a bridge overlooking a pond. I was facing the water taking pictures and when I turned around Tyler was on his knee, he told me how grateful he was for me and how much he loved me and in that moment he pulled out the ring and asked me to marry him. Of course I was completely over the moon and without hesitation I said YES!
