Chelsea and Luke first became acquainted in 2015 while working at their respective professions. Chelsea worked as an inside sales rep at Anixter while Luke was managing various projects for McMillan. Luke began to talk with Chelsea numerous times via phone and email throughout the next year, yet never meeting in person. Eventually Chelsea would be promoted to outside sales and work with all McMillan personnel. Chelsea first met Luke in person during an introductory visit at McMillan’s San Francisco office in 2016. They quickly learned that they shared many similarities and interests, often making small chat about sports, music, traveling and fun times in general. It's safe to say that at this point, Luke was officially hooked on Chelsea. A few months later, they would go on their 1st date, a trip to the beach in Alameda where Luke lived with his close friends, followed by dinner at American Oak in downtown Alameda. Luke had a feeling the date went well as he had never seen someone smile as much as Chelsea did that day. Their 2nd date was a music festival where they heard Lord Huron for the first time, a band that would soon be their favorite. On their 3rd date, Luke’s older brother and best friend, Shane, was able to meet Chelsea for the first time. Shane was managing Scala’s Bistro at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel at the time and set up his brother up with a VIP experience that included a custom menu with pairing and after dinner drinks at the Starlight Lounge where the two would share their first dance. In 2018, Chelsea would move in with Luke in Alameda. They had many adventures and great times with friends, including Giants games, restaurants, bowling, Sharks Hockey, Rock Wall Winery, Faction Brewery and many more. Two years later, Chelsea and Luke purchased their first home in Napa. Shortly after moving in, Luke escalated the excitement with a surprise engagement proposal in their new living room with both families present. The rest as they say…is history.
