Best Man
Rejected from the co-ed life groups one fateful night at Young Adults, Zach signed up for my men's bible study as his last choice. "Maybe better than nothing" he probably said to himself. Since then, he has become my closest friend and first choice to stand next to me at the altar.

Brandon is a born challenger and a competitor. Always ready for a theology throwdown or an intense game of racquetball, he strives to be the very best. He quickly found out I was the opposite after I made a sweet layup on our own hoop in a basketball league. A perfect first impression.

Adam's love of sport statistics can only be rivaled by his love of the DNC. He is the coolest, most athletic nerd I know. Fun fact: Ben Kiyotake and I were setup on a friend date with Adam freshman year at CU Boulder by his cousin, Grant. The rest is history.
Groomsman
Forged in the fires of freshman punch poker in the LHS library, our friendship has been a constant through many changes since high school. We lived together, studied together, gamed together, tricked together, sport-ed together, and stuck together.

We met on the basketball court and apparently my complete lack of skills impressed him enough to also join my bible study. We've biked, hiked, climbed, skied, and yet he'll always be more Colorado than me. David is my go-to adventure man and is the only one who shares my PTSD of July 4th.

Curt is a lover and a peacemaker. He is my role model when it comes to living out a faith-filled life and being a man, a father, and a husband. I am blessed to be friends with someone as fun and steadfast as Curt. He also has the best, upside down wall twerking this world has ever seen. What a treat.
Maid of Honor
“A sister is a best friend you choose” (Sorry to the lactose intolerant, that’s a lotta cheese). At the ripe old age of 3 1/2, I both met Emily and found out that we would be roommates until well into adulthood. Needless to say, I was elated (hopefully Emily can say the same). Emily is that rare blend of brilliant but relatable, and perseverance is her middle name. No one can out-hustle this chick, be it in hard work or in genuine kindness. She brings the sizzle to wherever she is, and she loves relentlessly. There’s truly no one I would rather have stand beside me on this day, and always. She’s my co-MOH for life and my homie for always.

“In the cookies of life, sisters are the chocolate chips” (ok, where is she getting this brilliance? What’s next, a ‘live, laugh, love” woodcutting?). God clearly knew that what was good as a duo would be magical as a trio, and that our sister clan needed another future-adult-roommate. I’m so glad He put Maddy in our midst! This girl has the spirit of the Lord like you wouldn’t believe. Her kind and bright heart are only matched by her kinder and brighter brain. She’ll be throwing down the dance moves on our big day, PTL. I’ve said it once already… but there’s truly, sincerely no one I would rather have stand beside me on this day, and always. She’s my co-MOH for life, and my dawg for always.
Bridesmaid
Chelsea arrived eagerly at Pepperdine, toting a Hello Kitty comforter and a lifetime supply of Orville Redenbacher 94% Fat Free Smart Pop. Who would greet her other than her Neil Clark Warren-curated roommate, wringing her hands and sweating profusely. Little did the unlikely duo know how deep and wide and steadfast and wonderful a friendship awaited them. More adventure than you could fit in a CoolWave, and more fun than a photoshopped centaur. Chelsea is the very definition of genuine, of spirited, of adventurous, and of kindness. She reflects the Creator so well in all she does!

After a fateful evening of pizza and Ed Sheeran music videos, I somehow tricked Emma into moving into a Pasadena apartment on Yolo Street with me. While our Hogwarts houses and Relient K started it all, it was in our roommateship that our friendship fate was sealed. Was it that I could dismantle a fridge with a Target toolkit? Or was it Emma’s need for a bookshelf before any other furniture? We may never know, but man, we Yolo’d. I dare you to find someone whose heart loves the Lord, a deft prank, or others more ferociously than Emma Angelo.

Our persistence (inability to admit something’s too hard?) and potty-mouths are just two of the reasons we’ve made the perfect half-marathon match. It’s only fitting she stands by me as I embark on the most important marathon of my life (hey, that’s pretty neat. You can tell she’s a bridesmaid by the way that she is). It’s more than just travels, tough runs, and tea that have made our friendship as special as it is — T’s got a spark for life all her own, unwavering joy & silliness, and compassion & friendship in buckets.
