There are countless beautiful hiking spots in Cashiers, many of which lead to some of the most stunning waterfalls in the country. Perched on the Eastern Continental Divide, the area offers truly breathtaking panoramic views. If you have limited time, Whiteside Mountain is a must. This 2-mile loop trail is known for its sweeping vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is accessible to most hikers, making it a perfect way to take in the region’s natural beauty without an overly strenuous climb.
For a relaxing way to enjoy the mountains, rent a pontoon at Signal Ridge Marina and spend the day cruising around Lake Glenville. Surrounded by forested peaks and cascading waterfalls, the lake is a peaceful and scenic spot to take in the natural beauty of the area.

Just 15–20 minutes from Cashiers, Highlands is a charming mountain town with great food and boutique shopping. A few of our favorites include Madison’s Restaurant for a special dinner (with a lovely outdoor Wine Garden patio), Four65 Woodfire Bistro & Bar for amazing wood-fired pizza and a relaxed night out, and Vivace, a beautiful local boutique with a well-curated selection. It’s a perfect spot for guests arriving early or staying after the wedding who want to explore the area, grab a meal, and enjoy the mountain-town vibe.
