The universe has a funny way of putting you right where you're meant to be. The two initially met while Tiffany was visiting a friend at Penn Tech in 2013, she happened to be attending a party hosted by Matt at his dorm. Though the two had an instant connection, they didn't really keep in touch past that night. Seven years later, the two matched on the dating app Hinge. Tiffany didn't initially remember Matt, but he remembered her and reminded her (by teasing her, of course)! The two decided to grab drinks and the connection was instant again, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Matt had originally planned to propose on a trip to Europe in October 2022. However, after jokingly asking Tiffany if she could plan a wedding in 9 months, and Tiffany jokingly reminding him that it typically takes at least a year to plan a wedding, Matt decided to propose instead on their upcoming trip to Chicago during St. Patricks Day. The only catch? The trip was a week away! Matt planned a beautiful day starting with brunch followed up by the Chicago Conservatory, the Chicago Zoo, and finally North Avenue Beach. When they arrived to North Avenue Beach a photographer stopped them and ask to take some test shots - he was waiting on another couple and just needed to get the lighting right. They took the shots and as Tiffany began to walk away Matt stopped her and dropped to one knee.
