THE FIRST DAY

JANUARY 5TH, 2011

Nearly a decade ago, two high school graduates began dating when Mary scooped Adam’s ice cream at the Surf Club. That summer, Mary and Adam shared nearly every day together until their first good-bye when Adam left for college in California. At first, many wondered how would this work? Could a small town girl going to college in Erie, PA stay in touch with an athlete traveling all over the West Coast playing baseball? Yes, yes they could and they did! Skype…yes Skype, the time before iPhones and FaceTime, became Adam and Mary’s saving grace. Mary and Adam spent endless nights on the phone conversing, laughing, and sharing all their college experiences. Adam traveled back and forth from California to New York on his college breaks when it shortly became apparent that they did not want to do life without each other. Over Christmas break, January 5th, 2011 Adam officially asked Mary to be his girlfriend. After three years of distance, Adam made the move back to New York where Mary and Adam graduated college May of 2015. Adam wasn’t done traveling; however this time, Mary could go explore the world with Adam together. Mary and Adam moved to Arizona and traveled the West together. Eventually they settled back in Buffalo, New York where they can be found spending their time with friends and family, eating at local mom-and-pop restaurants, and exploring the city’s different parks, workout classes, and events/festivals. Now after many years and many miles, Mary and Adam are married!

THE YES DAY

DECEMBER 2ND, 2018

Adam and Mary flew 2,266 miles to Sandals Regency La Toc, St. Lucia to celebrate their eight-year dating anniversary. A man, who Mary thought was never the best at surprises, quickly changed her opinion. On the second night of their vacation, Adam told Mary he made dinner reservations at one of the restaurants at the resort. They started their night off sharing wine and snagging the best seat on the island, a swing that over-looked the entire shoreline. After an hour of conversation, they made their way to their dinner reservation. They walked through several different restaurants on the resort guessing which one it would be the whole time. They took their final turn down a couple stairs leading to a private dinner set up on the beach, where Adam proved to Mary he was, indeed, capable of pulling off a surprise. Adam asked, and Mary said yes the St. Lucia way: “Mwen te di wi”

THE BEST DAY

JUNE 19, 2020

It started with an “I promise” and ended with a kiss. Two and a half years filled with wedding planning quickly spiraled into three weeks of trying to find a ceremony location that would host our event, an officiant, hair and makeup artists and an open nail salon all while following the continuously changing NY state guidelines. With a lot of love and help from family and friends Mary and Adam said “I Do!” at the Lawson Center on Chautauqua lake in a private ceremony followed by speeches they will never forget, delicious food, dance moves to remember, and a double rainbow for good fortune in all the years to come!

THE 365th DAY

June 18, 2021

Let's Cheers to Our First Year! Our first year of marriage was filled with: -Trips to our favorite beach in Florida, Siesta Key -Celebrating our closest friends and family's marriages and engagements -Keeping things in the family by purchasing and renovating Adam's grandparents home -Celebrating holidays as newlyweds. -Navigating life together during a pandemic which improved our cooking skills, included endless nights of painting, home work-outs, grocery shopping for fun, and binge watching the latest tv shows. We have learned to enjoy the simple things in life, cherish all the memories formed together with family and friends, that vitamin "sea" is truly the best medicine, and as referenced in our wedding vows; loving each other is truly easy! We are so lucky to have such amazing family and friends and we can’t wait to celebrate our first year wedding anniversary with everyone Friday, June 18, 2021! Love, Mary & Adam
